Deed: Alexander Powell to Cynthia Smith For the love and affection I entertain for my daughter Cynthia Smith I do hereby give transfer and convey to her a tract of land in Coffee County Tennessee district number nine containing by estimation one hundred and ninety two acres and bounded as follows to wit Beginning at two small post oaks William Martin's corner standing near a sink hole east of Jefferson Smiths house thence No/4 East 103 poles to a small post oak in said Martins lane" thence N 89 1/4 W 143 poles to a stake and pointers in said Martins line thence S 3/4 West 146 poles to a stake in a stonepile and pointers thence S 3/4 E 103 poles to a stake in the field thence East 155 poles to a stake and pointer in Samuel Hancocks line thence North 68 poles to the beginning. Received of my father Alexander Powell seven hundred and sixty eight dollars the estimated value of this above recited tract of land and being an advancement to me towards my interest in his estate. To have and to hold the same to the said Cynthia Smith her heirs and assigns forever I warrant and agree for myself and heirs to warrant and defend this title to the said tract of land to the said Cynthia Smith her heirs and assigns against the lawful claim of all persons Whatever.
