              vs                              Ind't for Murder
Jess (a slave)

Be it remembered that upon this day personally appeared in Open Couth,
Seteria Ann Grinder a witness on behalf of the state, in a case now pending in
said court, wherein the state of Texas is plaintiff and a negro man, a slave, named
Jess is defendant, and acknowledged herself to owe and stand indebted unto 
J. Pinkney Henderson Governor of the State of Texas, in the sum of one thousand
dollars to be void upon the following condition towit, that said Seteria Ann Grinder
shall be and personally appear before the Hon? the District Court for the County
of Fannin at the Court House in Bonham on Monday the 16th day of November
instanding?, and not depart thence without leave of the Court.
