I am searching the Willis family in Lancashire, England. John Willis, was born in Cumberland about 1790, then came to Lancashire either as a child or a young adult. I am trying to find his marriage, which I believe, took place in the area of Manchester around 1824. One of his grannd sons, James Henry, was my grandfather and he married Mary Griffiths, daughter of William Griffiths in 1896. They lived in Castleton after marriage and that is where my father, Frank and his brother, Norman, were born. Frank came to the USA about 1920. |
