The Ancestry of Alison Rose - a British Ancestry

Welcome to my Homepage. I have been researching my Ancestry since 1999, which since then lead me to find the earliest of my paternal line. He was a Grocer named John Rose born around 1765 in the village of Ravenstone (his parentage at present is unknown), in 1791 he married Sarah King of Rothwell (Northamptonshire, daughter of Thomas King & Sarah Essex) in the parish of Ravenstone. John & Sarah Rose had many children most survived into adulthood (and marrying) by the time John passed away in July 1836. I have a copy of his Will which states his occupation and his children and one of his late daughter's son John Allen. My Rose Ancestry moved about a bit - moving west from Ravenstone to Smethwick (via Ashby De La Zouch, Coventry & Birmingham).

The other names I am researching on my father's side are Cranmers of Birmingham, James of Birmingham (& Somerset), Skett (Northfield) & Newark Birmingham (& West Bromwich), and Brewins of Ashby DeLa Zouch (Leicestershire).

My maternal line comes from the Oldbury area of the Midlands, (formerly Worcestershire). Summers is my mothers maiden name and the Summers family have lived in the Oldbury area for over 150 years.
The names I am researching on my mother's side are Summers of Oldbury & Maskell of Bromsgrove (Worcestershire), Riley & Whitehouse of Rowley Regis (Staffordshire), Robinson of Halesowen/Rowley Regis, Brown & Lawson of Bedford (Bedfordshire), Jacquest/Jaquest of Bletsoe (Bedfordshire), these are the main names i am researching presently.

  I, Elizabeth Humpage was born in Rowley Regis in 1894, daughter of a Master Baker who was also a Shopkeeper. My maiden name was Riley. I first married Joseph Cole (Railwayman) until his death, then I re-married again. I later lived in Habberly Road until my death in 1997.
