| We are interested in history for the families of Albert Rose, Richard Rose, MayBelle Barr Rose, Joseph Soderstrom, Agnes Peterson, Daniel Gilman Sampson, and Alma Seidentopf Sampson. The grandchildren of Joseph Soderstrom and Agnes Peterson Soderstrom "reunite" about every six months for a "Cousins' Luncheon." We share information about our children, grandchildren, etc. We have one aunt still living, who will turn 95 on May 15, 2001. The "original" seven children were raised in Turlock, CA. Agnes Peterson and her mother immigrated from Sweden during the 1890's. The children of Richard Rose and MayBelle Barr Rose generally try to get together on the Saturday after Thanksgiving each year. The four Rose boys were raised in Geyserville, CA. The Rose name is thought to perhaps be a "revised, simpler name" given upon immigration to the US from Germany. |
