6. Lester Colman was born on 27 Nov 1828 in Springfield, Otsego Co., NY. (19)

Lester Coleman (note Coleman is used here but in earlier pages of the same publication, the name is listed as Colman), a representative of one of the earliest pioneer families of the county, and one of the honored citizens of Otsego, was born in the town of Springfield.

Lester Coleman was educated in the public schools. He remained with his parents until his marriage, and then bought a farm in the town of Richfield, which he occupied three years. Since that time he has bought and sold several farms, and in 1890 located on the place where he now lives, in District No. 3, town of Otsego.
He was a man of irreproachable character, of well-poised mind and unostentatious manner, and was deservedly held in high estimation by all who knew him. In his political views he was a true Republican, and was identified with the party from its formation.
He was married to Mariette Fake (daughter of Joseph Fake and Barbara Wilson) on 11 Nov 1852. (20) Lester Colman and Mariette Fake had the following children:
