The Elizabeth Ross Family Home Page

My family includes ROSS, STEINKE, WALSH, LOSER, REYNOLDS, ROUNDS, PITCOCK, and LOUX...so far.
The STEINKE and LOSER families originally originated from Germany and Austria settling in the New York City area. The PITCOCK (originally Pidcock?) arrived from England and settled in Kentucky and Tennessee, migrating to Missouri, Arkansas, and Oklahoma - one Confederate Pitcock ancestor married a part Cherokee woman named Elvira Fly. The LOUX family settled in Atwater and Lodi, California. The RILEY family originates from Ireland, leaving during the 1847 potato famine, settling in the midwest. The ROUNDS descend from settlers in the Massachussetts Bay Colony (I am told an ancestor was killed by Narrangansett Indians in the King Phillip's War in 1675...)
