I am researching the following family names: Ross, Coufal, Bubela, Dennis, Shimp, King, Caldwell, Pettey, Steele. The Rosses entered the Pittsburg area from Ontario, Canada; Fred Ross was a Christian Church Minister in Texas and St. John NB, Canada. The Coufals were from Chechnia, Moravia (Austria then Czechloslovakia), and settled in the area around Industry, in Central Texas. I have little present information on the Caldwells (Walter Douglas) from Houston, he was a Texas State Senator and practiced law before the US Supreme Court for Gulf Oil. |
