I'm researching the French, Tomerlin, Kinkade, Owens & Mathis families from Tennessee.

The French family migrated from North Carolina to Tennessee. My GGGG grandfather Samuel French Jr. settled in Stewart Co, TN. He married Molly Mary Wayne and they had 6 children: Gideon ,Marshall, Mary, John, Samuel, & Hannah. Gideon would be my GGG grandfather.

The Tomerlin Family is still in progress, as far as I got was my GG grandfather Milton Green Tomerlin. Milton was probably born in Lawrence Co, TN. He married Sarah Elizabeth Mathis. They had 6 children: James Walter, Alice Florence, John F, William Albert, Mary Hilda, & Minnie. The family lived in Perry Co, TN. William would be my G grandfather.

The Kinkade family is also in progress, as far as I got was my GGG grandfather J.A. (Anderson) Kinkade. J.A. was born in Maury Co, TN. He married Silina ? They had 7 children: Nancy J., Victoria, John Thomas, Louisa, Georgiana, Mark & James. John Thomas would be my GG grandfather.

Clem & Myrtle French (78 KB) This picture is of my great grandparents(Clem & Myrtle French) holding their grandson (Billy Joe French). Not sure where this was taken but I'm guessing probably in Lake Co, Tennessee where they lived and are buried at. Elmer & Mary Lois French (102 KB) This is a picture of my grandparents ( Elmer & Mary Lois French). Elmer is the son of Clem & Myrtle French. Mary Lois is the daughter of William & Ethel Tomerlin. Lucy Mae French & Edward Maupin (79 KB) This is a picture of my grandfathers sister Lucy Mae French. She married Edward Maupin. Jo Ann French (88 KB) This is a picture of my mother at the age of 11. She is the daughter of Elmer & Mary Lois French. Mamaw French & Kids (69 KB) This is a picture of my grandmother (Mary Lois)with my mother, uncle W.C. & David French & my aunt Myrle French. The picture is sort of blurred. Bobby French (76 KB) This is a picture of my uncle Bobby French. He is the son of Elmer & Mary Lois French.
