Harry and Kate Rose Family Home Page

Most of my research has focused on the Jesse ROSE family of Tuscaloosa County, Alabama. Jesse was born in 1795, probably in Franklin Co, GA, served in the GA Militia from Franklin Co in the War of 1812, married Permelia Mackie FLEMING in 1816 in Franklin Co, and moved to Tuscaloosa Co, AL in the early 1820's.
At present, I'm trying to prove that Jesse ROSE'S father was Drury (Drewery) ROSE, born in 1768, probably in Granville Co, NC. I'm, also, attempting to prove that Drury ROSE'S father, Thomas Rose, came from Granville Co, NC to the Wilkes-Elbert-Franklin county area of GA in 1774.
