We are stuck on the following issues; can you help in any way?? Michael Carroll Moclair or his son, George Bruce Carroll Moclair born in 1858. We know that Michael Carroll Moclair came from Ireland and married an unknown woman from Florida in the early to mid 1800's. Their son, George Bruce Carroll Moclair born in 1858, moved to New Iberia, Louisiana, and married Jamie Evelyn Porter in 1882 and had 13 children, including my grandfather, Ashton Michael Carroll born in 1893. Their last name was officially changed to Carroll before the 1920 census in New Orleans, LA.
Conrad Beyer, born April 11, 1845, in Cincinnati OH, served in the Civil War Ohio Volunteer Infantry and had 11 children, including Sophia Maria Albertina "Abby" Beyer, my grandmother. Any information about his parents would be of help. He married Mary von Rohr from Ifenthal, Switzerland in 1855 in Cincinnati, OH.
John Volz born in 1853 in Germany married Mary Maggie B., from Germany, possibly in Lawrenceburg, Indiana and had four kids, including my grandfather Anthony Gene Volz. Kate Brauer lived with John and raised the kids after Mary's death. Annie Volz and Lloyd Volz also lived with the family--who are they?
Bernard Wenning and Elizabeth Frankenhoff had 3 children in Cincinnati, OH, one of whom was my great-grandfather, John B. Wenning, born Feb 24, 1879. Bernard supposedly was a shepherd boy avoiding the German draft and emigrated to the US. Bernard's second marriage to Sophia Sternberg was in 1887 in Cincinnati and there were 5 more children from that marriage.
Also looking for information on Hungarian families who lived in Pennsylvania, Cleveland, OH, and Indianapolis, IN. My father-in-law has little info about the ROSS or Roschka??? family or the Mary Bakisch??? family.
