| I have been researching my family roots for over 20 years and am working on my 5th family history book. I am happy to share whatever information I have on any of my family lines with other researrchers. My final book will cover my Dutch Peterson and Irish Guthrie families. Before completion of the book on these two lines, I would like to break through two road blocks: 1. Find parents of Mary Sabena Mitchell who married my Solomon J. Peterson Oct. 27, 1859 at Mansfield, Richland Co., OH. Mary was probably born in Ohio (although 1 census record indicates PA). She likely grew up near the Peterson families in Richland/Ashland County, OH. Mary died July 22, 1893 in Brule Co., SD. I have been unable to find Mary in any of the Mitchell families of Richland/Ashland Co., OH; nor is there any 8-year old Mary Mitchell in the 1850 census who could possibly be "my" Mary. 2. Find first wife of Thomas Peterson (1766-67/1855) of Sussex Co. NJ. (Thomas died in Morris Co., NJ) The first wife died young leaving two (or three) young children: Sarah; and my direct-line ancestor, John Griggs; and possibly Margaret was born to the first wife. I would be thrilled to receive any clues on either of these missing links.
