The Reppo/Reppond Family of Arkansas

We are researching the descendants of James Robert Reppo, who began life as James Robert Reppond in 1847 in Union Parish, LA.
In Arkansas the name was shortened to Reppo. We are connected to the Louisiana Repponds through the line of Vincent Reppond, son of Etienne Reppond. James Robert was the son of Eugene Reppond and Elizabeth McMahon. Other children of Vincent included Margaret, Lewis, Adolph, Henry, James, Louisa and Catherine.

We are also researching the family of John McMahon, son of James, born in Ouachita Parish in 1800, and his wife Mary Arnold, daughter of William and Lavinia Arnold of Ouachita Parish. Other children of James McMahon included Elizabeth (Stewart), Mary (Ward), Narcissa (Matingly), Rebecca (Beck), and Jane (Fausett), as well as two unknown sons. Other children of William Arnold included Elizabeth (Patten), Sarah (Mercier), James, Nancy (Mygate), Winifred (Jones), William and Lavinia (Honeycutt).
