I am researching the surname of Hartley. My family originates in England>Ireland>Newfoundland,Canada>USA. Other surnames in our family are King, Hennessy and St. Croix all from Newfoundland. I have Thomas Hartley born abt.1835 marries Ellen St. Croix 1862 in Placentia Newfoundland. His brother James marries Bridget Hartigan 1864 in Placentia Newfoundland. I would like to find their parents. It's possible they came on a ship from Ireland sometime in the early 1800s. Any information on any of the above surnames would be appreciated!
