The Crawshaw Family Home Page

I am looking for the descendants of Samuel (born 1805 in Birstall, Yorkshire, England) and Ann Lodge Crawshaw (second wife?)(also born in England). Their children--Charles, born in England abt. 1935, William, born abt. 1846, Martha, born abt. 1850 in the Boston, Massachusetts area, and Ralph, born abt. 1855, also in Boston. I believe that Samuel's first wife was Mary Robinson, mother of Matthew, born abt. 1832, and Ann, born abt. 1834, both in Westmoreland, Yorkshire, England. Ann married Joseph Billiard on October 01, 1855 in Boston, MA. Samuel immigrated to Boston, MA in the 1840s and later moved to Newburgh, NY. His brother, George, also moved to Newburgh. Samuel was in the carpet business. Charles married Mary Lodge (born 1/7/1840--died 12/08/1916. They had three children, William H., Emilie and Mary J. William married Jennie L. and taught at Colgate University for years. He was dean of the college from 1897-1929. He authored several books. William was my grandfather's first cousin. I would like to find death dates for Samuel and Mary (first wife) and Ann Lodge Crawshaw (second wife).
I am also looking for surnames of Sleeper (Ellen), and Silver--Sarah. To my knowledge, most lived in the Boston area.
I would appreciate any information and am willing to share what I have researched.
