* Our Family Tree*

Updated April 29, 2007

This is the result of my research into our family tree(s). Please have a look around, and let me know if there are any errors, omissions, or other items that may need my attention. Thanks for looking!

I am researching the Rosenheim family, possibly from Poland. Abraham Rosenheim first appeared in the Unitd States Census for 1880, and I think before that he may have come from Minsk, Belarus. He married Rachel Leitz, and Mary Karp/Mary Jacobes. He had at least 7 children.

Have you heard the story that Abraham changed his name just before emigrating?

The story goes something like this; as Abraham was travelling through Germany, he came upon the town of Rosenheim. He loved this town so much that he changed his name to Rosenheim! So, if that's true, what was his name before that? Pitchert? Picarski?

In addition, I'm also researching; Jones, Shanahan, Kelly, Scully, Greenstein, Feinson, Sharkansky, McParland, Dube, Stockwell, Hamilton, Dube, Griffin, Riley, Hartling, Cohen, Rosenthal, and others!

Any information would be appreciated. I am also willing to share the information that I have.
