My wife is originally from the French part of Switzerland & has been sucessful in tracing her roots back to the late 16th cent. (Pattus [French], Junod & Schlup [Switz.])I have been less sucessful and have only been able to trace my family to late 19th cent. Russia & Poland. After leaving Switz. where we lived for several years, we lived/worked in N.Y.C,lived/taught in New Haven, Conn. and for the past 29 years,worked-here in Virginia. Having recently retired, I intend to use the resources of the National Archives-extensively. We have three children; two of them Valerie & Phillipe) live in the Metropolaitan area, (D.C. and Sterling,Va) and the third (Alex)lives in Atlanta Georgia |
