| This site is dedicated to connection and connecting! My mother, brother and grandparents are Scottish, my father and my other grandmother are English, my other grandfather Welsh and I was born in Liverpool, lived in the UK for 13 years and now reside in Brisbane, Australia with an Irish man! In other words my life is full of connections with other cultures, traditions and languages. My interests are connecting other people with their ancestors and as a result, giving others the opportunity to connect with other cultures and languages from our global family. My own personal family research has only led me back as far as about 1869. This research has only been gained verbaly from the oldest family members and birth and marriage certificates. However, now I have the correct tools to research I hope to progress further into the past. I would eventually like to offer my services to other people, in order to help them in their quest for some connection with their ancestors. I have a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Queensland in English and Medieval/Renaissance Studies and would like to put these research skills to good use. I work part-time as an assistant technical officer at the Queensland Museum but my interests are Scottish and English history. I am currently studing a Post Graduate Diploma in Education (teaching history and english) and am presently living in Brisbane, Australia. |
