From Histories & Genealogies of Old Granville Co NC 1746-1800 by Thomas McAdory Owen 1993 SouthernHistorical Press p 136, "March 8, 1754, John Debordfined 50s/ proc for neglecting to execute a Summons onRobt. Jones and that he be committed until fine ispaid".Next entry on June 5 1754 simply says "Fine remitted"; this entry may refer to John Debord.

Franklin County June 1788 ?Court p 782 "Ordered that Joh Deboard be exempt from paying a poll tax in future". Note: John Debord would have been 58 years old.
