Milford was born Nov. 11, 1922 in East St. Louis, IL After serving in
the Air force during World War II, he earned a bachelor's degree in
business administration from Washington University.The first
discount store in the St. Louis area was opened by Milford in 1956. In
1969. he moved to Oklahoma city and founded Weight Watchers of
Oklahoma, Inc. Milford was a past president of B'nai B'rith of
Oklahoma City, enjoyed singing in the OK Chorale, and was an avid jazz
enthusiast.He was survived by his 3 children, Bruce Routman of OKC,
Keith Routman of Vail, CO and Beth Perry of OKC, and by his sister
Bebe Dubnoff of Passaic, NJ. and six grandchildren. Milford died June
11, 1996 in Oklahoma City, OK.
