Henry Routh (b. February 12, 1908, d. May 1970)

Henry Routh was born February 12, 1908 in Farrell, PA, and died May 1970 in Sharon, PA. He married Esther Routman Routh on 1946 in Sharon, PA, daughter of Benjamin Routman and Mary Rosenberg Routman.

Notes for Henry Routh:
Henry was a painting contractor and former boxing trainer and fight
stable operator. He operated an amateur boxing stable in Farrell for
several years in the 1930's, one of the most active and successful
stables in the tri-state area. He developed some of the best fighters
ever to come out of this area, including Billy Soose who went on to
win the world's middleweight championship. Henry attended Farrell
schools and was a Navy veteran, serving in the Pacific area during
World War ll.
