Notes for Esajas Routman: Esajas Routman was born in 1745 and died August 21, 1790. He was a soldier. Cause of death was fever. His name in parish registers is written as Esaias Rostman, Elias Rotman and Esajas Routman. His wifes name was written in records in 1779 as Helena Hansdaughter and in 1784 it was written as Lena Henriksdaughter. Perhaps he had two wives. The house he lived in was named Haasiainen which was a soldiers house. Esajas Widow and children moved out of the house after Esajas died.. It is possible that the widow and children did not use the fathers name after he died. The researcher in Finland that emailed me this information said he was sure that Esaja Routman, born 1745, was the father of Esajas Routman, born 1772.
