In 1762, Thomas Moorman, Jr., son of Charles Moorman, Jr., bought 200 acres on Tomahawk Creek and moved there in 1767 from Golansville, Caroline County, Virginia, having previously married Rachel Clark; they carried the following certificate to South River Meeting: "Thomas and Rachel Moorman having removed from under our care and within the verge of your Meeting, requested a recommendation to you. After due care we do not find but that he has settled his worldly affairs to satisfaction and they have always been esteemed as orderly persons and held in good unity among us", signed by Samuel Hargrave, Clerk.

Daughter Rachel Johnson a tract of land on Molly s Creek which she has already received.
Son Charles Moorman 100 acres which is part of 300 acres that I purchased in Ohio.
Four daughters viz Mildred Johnson, Rhoda Johnson, Susanna Johnson and Doshee Stratton 50 acres each out of the above 300 acres.
Daughter Nancy Paxton the items she rece3ived before her deceas.
Daughter Sarah Stratton 50 acres in Ohio to be purchased for her.
