Researching the Royer family of Louisiana, who lived mostly in Acadia, St. Landry and Vermillion Parishes.
The Royer family arrived in Quebec, Canada in 1656. The Royer line can be traced back to 1600 France. The Royer family was established in Louisiana by Augusine Royer in the late 1700s. He was born in Kaskakia, Il.

My grandfather, MOISE ROYER, b.April 23, 1901, d. September 1981. Moise Royer was married to MARIE RIDA LEBLANC, b. September 11, 1900, d.January 30, 1972. They had three sons: Royer(living), Alvin Joseph Royer (deceased) and Loyse James Royer.

MOISE ROYER's father, JEAN ROYER, was married twice: to MARIE OLIVA MENDOZA and then to ADELE BOUILLON.
