"I have now a parcel of Skins on hand, to be dressed and made into leather, which said leather my executors are to sell," and put the money at interest for my daughter Phebe till she is 18. I leave to my son John one horse and two cows, when he is of age. I leave to my wife Phebe the rest of personal estate and the use of all lands till my son is of age. But if she marries, my son and daughter are to have the use of the same. When my son is of age, my wife is to have the use of 1/3. I leave to my daughter the right to dwell in the house, and to be supported while she is single. I leave to my son John all my houses, lands, and meadows, except my Plain land in Oyster Bay, and he shall pay my daughter Phebe œ150. Whereas I have purchased 20 acres of Plain land of David Seaman in his Plain lot, and I have paid him one half, but have no deed, my executors are to take a deed and sell the land. He married Anne Coles, daughter of Joseph Coles and Freelove Weeks. She died Unknown.

Isaac [4], the oldest, born Apr. 6, 1743, married Anne Coles, daughter of Joseph and Freelove (Weeks) Coles. Her benevolence was actively exerted to relieve the necessities and sufferings of American prisoners during the Revolution, and she was made the recipient of a table cloth, now cherished by her descendants, which was given her by some officers confined in the Sugar House (for sketch of her life see N. Y. Gen. & Biog. Record. Jan. and April, 1905). Isaac Mott died in 1780, leaving issue, Samuel Coles [5], of Sing Sing, Jordan [5], of New York, Jacob Coles [5], of New York, and Jerusha [5].
