This story is hard to believe, but very true. Anna, my grandmother, was born in Caraquest, New Brunswick on July 5, 1898. She married Prosper Gionet and moved to Manchester, NH. After having 16 children, my grandfather left her. She died in 1976. After her death, Prosper returned to get re-acquanted with his children. He returned to Canada and died in March, 1983. My grandmother never spoke of him and I have very little information about him. He was born July 5, 1898 in Canada.
I've been told by my aunts that grandmother did not talk about her past, relatives, etc. The only thing she did say is that she was 1/2 indian. We're not even sure what tribe. If anyone has any information that may help me trace my grandmother's origin, please E-Mail me. She was one-of-a-kind!
