In 1938, R. H. Bunch of Chicago, Illinois researched a family tree for the "BUNCH" family. His commentary is as follows: "The earliest discovered record of the family in America is that of a John Bunch who came to Virginia in 1651-52. Due to the destruction of public records of that part of Virginia, successively known as York, New Kent, Hanover and Louise County, where the family settled and lived for several generations, were destroyed during the civil war. I have been unable to trace the family between 1651 and 1742 when this genealogy starts".

I hope to be able to locate some of the records between 1651 and 1742, also I have entered my family's records as they pertain to
this family genealogical record.
