John LeGore^{211, 212} was born Abt. 1755 in France²¹², and died July 07, 1829 in Marion Co., IN^{213, 214}. He married (1) Margaret Funk on Bef. 1780. He married (2) Hester Casey on May 27, 1825 in Fayette Co., OH.

Notes for John LeGore:

John LeGore came from France, somewhere along the Rhine River. The family came to America and settled in Pennsylvania. He enlisted on April 1, 1776 at Lancaster, PA as a private in the Fourth Continental Dragoons. He served until 1782 under Colonel Moylan, Captain Zebulon Pike's Company.

John and Margaret left Maryland for Fayette County, Ohio by 1818, when he applied for a Revolutionary War pension.

After his first wife Margaret died, he remarried. John married Mrs. Hester Casey, May 27, 1825. They moved to Marion County, Indiana. He died July 7, 1829.
