Weinrich,Hämmerer,Robiller,Bonin,Vogel,Simon,Behne,Barlage

The title of my pages indicate the names of the eight grandparents my wife and I had. Weinrich is my father's natural father. He was adopted by a Bernhard Rump who had married his mother's sister.
I came to America on the Gen. USS Sturgis with my parents in 1952. For this reason my ancestry is scattered all over Germany with heavy emphasis in southern Oldenburg (Oldenburger Münsterland), Osnabrück, Franconia, East Prussia, the Harz region of Nordhausen, Westphalia etc

My wife's father was my father's next door neighbor in Essen/Oldenburg.

Having started soc.genealogy.german and owning several German oriented mail lists puts me into a sort of expert position with thousands of my own posts sitting in the various genealogical archives. History is my bag and I'm always willing to share.
