  Notes for JUDAH RUNYAN:
Marie Wright listed Judah Runyan as Claiborne Runyan in her original book, and as Judah Claiborne in her second book. The marriage record of Joel & Judah in Rhea County, TN lists her name as Juda Runnions, married to Joel H. Bledsoe August 20, 1829 by Thomas Cox, JP with John Lewis as Bondsman.

Joel Harris Bledsoe and Judah moved to Putnam County, IN in late 1829 or early 1830 and were listed there in the 1830 census. They lived in adjoining Owen County, IN by 1850 and in Crawford County, IL by 1860. According th Chris H. Bailey ( chrisb@esslink ), Judah was born about 1808, and died at the age of 56 in the year of 1864.

If Chris H. Bailey is correct, about Judah's date of birth and name, than one must assume thay Marie Wright'd data is incorrect, and that Judah and Claiborne were two different persons.
