Robert Runyon in "Suppliment to Runyon Genealogy" 1960, page 220, listed Nancy as Anna Runyon, but according to Norman L. Runyon, Anna Runyon "... is incorrect - that comes from an incorrect reading of her 1800 marriage record to John Halk (a.k.a. Johannes Hauk). She is frequently mentioned in the Linville Creek Church records. John Hawk died in 1815 and the orphans records name all 6 of John & Nancy's children. Nancy is listed as head of the family in the1820 census and, shortly thereafter, her adult children began moving to Highland County, OH. In 1829, Nancy sold her share of her inheritance,
from her father, to her brother John, Jr.. The document was witnessed by their brothers Jacob & Anderson. About that same time, Nancy sold her land and then moved to the Hillsboro, OH area to be with her children - all of whom moved there. I have two documents for her in Highland County - the last of which was the 1830 census. Don't know what happened to her after that but her children's families are all well documented there."
