Notes for Sarah Angell: Sarah gave birth to thirteen children over a period of 29 years.
Sarah Angell was born in 1798 in Tormarton, Gloucestershire. She married James Stickler of Pucklechurch by banns on 13 July 1815 in Tormarton, Gloucestershire. Sarah was illiterate and signed her marriage record with the mark 'X'. She and James lived at Feltham Lane in Pucklechurch where they raised thirteen children. Following James' death in 1855, Sarah became the head-of-household for the six surviving unmarried children. She died in Pucklechurch on 26 April 1863 at age sixty five, whereupon the children now grown found separate housings; James & Enoch shared a dwelling, Ann married and lived elsewhere, and Ruth (born 1840) sadly fell into debt and died in the Pucklechurch Union Workhouse (poorhouse) at age twenty five.
