I am researching family on both my maternal and paternal sides of my family.

The DeFiore family came from San Angelo Acupelo, Benevento Italy although the spelling of the last name has probably changed. Carmine DeFiore was born in June, 1889 and had two brothers, Frank and Angelo and a sister Antionette. His father's name was Frank and his mother's name was Mattea Cattaffa. I believe he came to the U.S. via Pennsylvania. He married Maria (Mary) DiNunzio in New York City in March 1916. They eventually settled in Thomaston, CT. Maria was from Marcon, Benevento Italy and had one sister Carolina DiNunzio. Carolina married Giacomo Santopietro and had one daughter Pasqualina. Pasqualina maried Pasqual Simeone and had three sons, Fausto, Giacomo,Crescenzo, and one daughter Carolina. Carmine's sister Antoinette married Vincent Coviello. They had three sons; Emil, Albert, and Vincent.

Of the Zolla side of the family I know only that Felix Zolla was born in Asti, Italy in 1881. He married Guiseppina (Josephine) Ottino of Piemonte,Italy. They had four children; three sons, Lawrence, John, Felix and one daughter Lena. I believe they lived in New Jersey for some time before settleing in Harwinton, CT.

I know the least about the Cantore side of the family. Clementina Cantore married Vincent Cantore. Her maiden name was the same as her married name. She was born in Chiusa S. Michele Torino, Italy in May of 1882. Her parents settled in Torrington Ct. Clementina and Vincent had two daughters, Olivia and Eugenia.
