The Russell-Howard Family

Updated August 28, 2011

I have been compiling data with respect to the ancestors of both my wife and myself. The Russell line from which I am descended resulted from the marriage of Owen Earl Russell to Mayme Harland in Kentucky. My wife's family line begins with the marriage of Jim Wood Howard to Bertha Trent in Oklahoma. Results have been spotty. The Harland line is well defined as is the Trent line; however, there are gaps in the Tussell and Howard lines.

I am seeking further information with regards to Starling Russell and his parents. Starling was born in 1823 in Kentucky and allegedly died in Trigg County, Kentucky in 1897. His parents are believed to have been George W. Russell of Virginia and Margaret Pyles/Pyle/Pile of Tennessee. Both parents are believed to have died in Kentucky-- George about 1862 and Margaret about 1830. Any information regarding Starling or the parents would be appreciated.

I also am trying to identify the ancestors pf Katherine Louise Milliron who married Marion Johnson Howard in Texas about 1890.

Any information regarding these individuals would be appreciated.
