My goal is to find all of my immigrant ancestors of which I estimate that there are 1,600. These would be the people in each ancestral line who first came to the New World.
Many immigrant ancestors lived in Colonial America so they are back 11 or 12 generations and include eight that were on the Mayflower and several that were at Jamestown. The latest came to America in the mid-1800's. My Great-Great-Great Grandparent's family names are: Russell, Miner, Carter, Beers, Rockwell, Tyler, Prime, Hasseltine Burrage, Studley, Meriam, Briggs, Hale, Kent, Greenleaf, McKoy de Ganahl, Conn, Wright, Pugh, Wrotnowski, Czibulska, Thomas, Haines Coombs, Wooleaver, Adams, Johnston, Hall, Reid, Ames, Milby.
At Summer 2007, I have 7,000 people recorded and of Immigrants, I estimate that I have only found 30% of the 1,600.
