Alexander Latta Cook Wood Family

I am currently researching the Wood family. I have reached a stumbling block at Alexander Latta Cook Wood. He is believed to have immigrated to Pennsylvania from Ireland, but I am unable to confirm this.

I would love to take my search as far back as possible, and would appreciate any information someone might have. I am also willing to share what I have been able to collect thus far, including photos or documents.
