The William Clemons Family, Granby, CT

Updated November 18, 2003

Researching the William (Willys)Clemons family has led me from Granby, Connecticut to Granville, Ohio to parts West and back to Massachusetts.

The Clemons, Case and Rose families were closely intertwined starting in the late 1700's. There are still branches of the family that cannot be located; probably the ones who traveled to Illinois, Missouri and perhaps even California.

Of course, learning about my Clemons ancestors has taken me on other paths where I found that the Ashton, Claridge, Francis, Vinton, Thayer, Ames, Adams and Greene families are also among them.

As with any genealogy research, it is always a work in progress. Find one branch and it leads you to another, and so on and on. The excitement of coming across a family connection among genealogic records is what keeps any of us researchers going. I am grateful for Family Tree Maker, Ancestry and Genealogy for making my search easier.

I am always happy and grateful to hear from family researchers who share any of my ancestors. Of course, always willing to share what I have with my "rellies", however diluted the connection.
