I am researching the descendents of John Beveridge Laing who emigrated from Scotland around 1854. He was ten years old at the time. His parents settled in Vermont. He studied medicine at the University of Michigan and started a medical practice in Otisville, Michigan. He had three sons and a daughter, Paul, Ronald, John, and Gladys.

I am also researching the descendents of Matthew McCormick who also settled in Otisville, Michigan. His parents were born in Ireland, Antrim County.
