Need information on my Gr-Grandfather, Charles (Carl) Fredrik Ravn a.k.a. Charles (Carl) Fredrik Raun. He was born on December 10, 1832 in Hundsruck, Germany. His parents were Carl Fredrik Ravn and Elisabeth Lista of Denmark. The reason he was born in Germany was his father had been in the Foreign Service of Denmark at the time. My gr-grandfather married ? Maria Caroline Naucler of Sweden. They came over in May of 1854, to Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He kept changing the last name from Ravn to Raun. My grandfather was Charles R. Raun, but also used Ravn.
He married Friederike Augusta Louise Brandt in 1882 in Wisconsin.
I would like any info on any Ravn/Raun connection, as my gr-grandfather left gr-grandmother and remarried another lady. We have found NO marriage, death, or divorce records for him.
