The Nelk's of Germany, Illinois, and Ohio

John Nelk married to Minnie. Minnie has been given three different names so far.. Washow, Reddon, and Vessel. They came to Illinois from Germany. I don't know when, and so far searching ship lists I've had no luck. They had five children according to their son John's birth certificate. John Herman Nelk was born on 11-25-1888 in Danville, Vermilion Co., IL. He married Rosa Colberg and had John Nelk, Jr., Sophia, Frances, and Mildred. He then moved on to Ohio and in Butler Co., married Della Price Freeman in Oct of 1921. They had nine daughters. The youngest..a set of twins. Virginia Lee and Shirley Irene Nelk were born 11-7-1938 in Columbus, Ohio. Shirley is my mother. Would love to make some connections on our lineage.
