Hi Becky,

Hmmmm ... If you didn't find S. C. in the death index from 1958-1969, maybe
he died in a different state.

FHL film # 0384321 - Licking Co. Birth Records Vol. 1, 1875-1882 has two
entries for Charles and Amanda:

p. 80 - Fishpaw, ?Orola? S., b. 1874 Nov. 8 in Ohio, Licking Co., Etna Twp.;
male, white, Father Charles H. Fishpaw, Mother's maiden name Amanda C.
Buckingham, Residence of parents Etna Twp.

p. 90 - Fishpaw, Emory ?Kirfus/Rufus? b. 1881 Aug 13 in Ohio, Licking Co.,
Etna Twp.; male white, Father Charles H. Fishpaw, Mother's maiden name
Amanda C. Buckingham, Residence of parents Etna Twp.

I was just going through my old notes and I have a hand written 1850 Census form I must have copied it from the LDS library years ago, didn't note township but page 134 dwelling 56 I have Jesse Fishpaw 30 farmer, $1600, MD; Sarah 25, OH; Ann 20 OH, Serina ?(can't read my writing) 20 ?; Charles 7 OH. Of course now I don't know if any of this is right, I haven't been able to get anywhere to check census.

I checked cemeteries a long time ago and found at Silent Home Cem in Reynoldsburg; Amanda C Fishpaw (Buckingham) 1849-1925; Charles H. Fishpaw Co D 10th Ohio Cavalry, 1843-1930; John D Fishpaw 1871-1910; Alonzo A Fishpaw 1871-1940; Roley S Fishpaw 1874-1879 . Then there were also Hiram T Fishpaw 1858-1923; Angeline Fishpaw 1864-1928 (they were hus & wife) Emily A Fishpaw (Mother) 1896-1951 (not sure whose mother); Margaret R Fishpaw (Connell) 1902-1977, C. Wendell Fishpaw 1902-1973 (I think this is the Charles W mom talked about. and I found on the ssdi Charles Fishpaw died 1973 in Reynoldsburg); There was also Marilyn Fishpaw (Gabriel) & infant son Howard Jr. 3/14/1923 -11/8/1943 (don't know who she goes with). Then in Jefferson twp a very old cemetery there is John W Fishpaw died 6/10/1875 son of W L & M J Fishpaw (don't know where WL & MJ are?)

There is a book the History of Reynoldsburg and Turo Twp, I got copies years ago that Charles H was a janitor at the Reynoldsburg Schools then he went into the lumber business. Charles and Amanda's daughter Dora married Fay May, he was active in local politics and Mayor of Reynoldsburg, there is a good bio on him. But she is the only child of the Fishpaw's the book mentions.

I have copies of the Columbus City Directories for the following years:
1874 - Fishpaw E M, Lab, res 446 N High
1898 - Fishpaw Wm M, dairyman, h s s Broad 3 e of Alum Creek.
1899-1900 - Fishpaugh Jennie, cigarmkr, h 1161/2 S 4th
Fishpaw John D, blksmith, b 190 E Rich.
1935 - Fishpaw Chas W, atndt Standard Oil Co r Reynoldsburg, Oh
Fishpaw Emory K (Edith), slsmn Hamilton Milk Co, h 636 E Whittier
Fishpaw Glenn R (Marie H), gro 1107 E Mound and rear 752 Reynolds ave h 752 do,
Fishpaw Harvey, h rear 509 Hosack

Then I have 1951, '52, '54 copies of the Columbus Telephone Directory and checked but didn't copy thur 1963 Sherman is listed in all but 1963, that is the last word on him. I do have Fishbaughs on these copies if you are looking for any, and there are several.

I have checked the following cemeterys:
Forest Lawn Cols - NO
Glen Rest Cols - NO

Silent Home Reynoldsburg OH
I found the following:
Amanda C Fishpaw (Buckingham)

I tried the Franklin Co. Birth Records today. Did not find a Charles W. or
a C. Wendell. However, I found the following which I believe to be the same
person:

FHL film # 0285137 - Franklin Co., Ohio Birth Records Vol. 8, page 80, #
1903 - Fishpaw, Chas. born 1902 3 29 (Mar. 29) in Ohio, Franklin co.,
Reynoldsburg; male, white; Father Emery, Mother's maiden name Addie Jones,
residence of parents Reynoldsburg.

Also found 3 unnamed girls born to Emory and Addie (yes, triplets) on 1 Nov.
1903 in Vol. 9, page 66 (same film #).

The Franklin Co., Ohio Index to Grooms 1897-1918, FHL film # 0285139 has two
marriages for Emory - the first in 1901 to Addie Jones recorded in Vol. 33,
page 160; and the second in 1913 to Mozella M. Brooks recorded in Vol. 56,
page 333.
