One of County's Oldest Men Is Taken by Death

Mr. John Rutherford, one of the oldest residents of Washington county, was taken by death Friday morning at the home of his son, W. H. Rutherford at Fay. He had been ill but a short time. Death was due to paralysis of which he suffered a stroke on Thursday.

Mr. Rutherford was 89 or 90 years of age. He had made his home with his son at Fay for the past six years. Besides his son he is survived by a daughter and brother.

The remains will be taken to Dexter City, at which place the funeral and burial will be held on Monday morning.
