The cemetery is located on Rt.2 (Old Solomons Island Rd) on the grounds of Southern High School. It is on the north side of the school and parking lot on a small knoll, in a small grove of trees and surrounded by a white picket fence. ADC map book page 29-A/3. Grave 1: ______, M. Elizabeth Grave 2: (Battee), Elizabeth, consort of the Rev'd D. H. Battee and daughter of the Rev'd J. Jones. Grave 3: f.s.-E.S. Grave 4: Batee, John, 7 May 1761, 18 April 1803 Notes: The DAR information indicates that this was a rather large cemetery next to the high school while it was still under construction. At that time only the footstone "E.S." was found. An article about the cemetery can be found in the Annapolis newspaper, "The Capital", February 17, 1989 pages B1 and B2.
