Frederick Miller Sr.-- Mr. Miller, 77 died Monday at his home, 2062 N. Fourth st, following a three-week illness. Born in Lancaster, he resided in Columbus 55 years. He was a machinist for Seagraves 38 years. Mr. Miller belonged to the Champion Bowdall, K. of P., and the Lincoln Camp, Woodmen of the World. he leaves his wife, Mrs. Belle Miller; a daughter, Mrs. H. B. Boyce, 39 Nottingham Rd, and three sons, Daniel L, Robert F. and Fred Jr., all of Columbus. Champion bowdall, K. of P. service will be held at 10:30 a. m. Wednesday in the funeral home. Burial will be in Union Cemetery.

Frederick and Belle had four children: Daniel who married Christine; Ethel who married Herman Boyce; Robert Frank (Jim) who married Ruth; and Frederick who married Marquerite.

Said To Be True: My cousin, Betty (Stone) Hill told me Aunt Belle was a quiet, sweet, nice person. I'm thankful for Betty's memories, since I never knew most of my father's side of the family.

Belle's name was Nancy Belle Layton, but she was called Belle. Her appears to be Hannah on Marriage Application. Not unusual for Potts girls to change names. Her father, John C. Potts left her $200.00 in his will, plus residue of estate to be divided between Belle and her brother, John G. Potts. The will was dated 11 May 1922 and probated 18 April 1923.

I know my mother, Lulu May (Sweet) Potts liked Aunt Belle the best of all the sisters.

Boyce, 265 Fairlawn Dr., with whom she lived; three sons, Dan L. 567 Kossuth St.; Robert F., 285 E. Chase Ave., Worthington; and Frederick Jr., Alexandria, O.; two sisters, Mrs. C. E. Hutcherson, Detroit, and Mrs. Frank Stone, Columbus; 13 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren. Friends may call at the D. Harvey Davis funeral home, where services will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday. Burial in Union Cemetery.
