The Marklew/Evans/Herbert/Platt Family - England

Updated May 20, 2007

My personal family tree includes the following main families: Marklew, Evans, Herbert and Platt plus many other family connections. These families all lived in the area surrounding Brownhills, West Midlands (originally Staffordshire), England. Many of the families moved to the area with the opening of the coal mines/brick works in the later part of the 19th century.

Over the years as the mining industry declined - or people got more adventurous they have moved on around England and the rest of the world including the USA, Canada and Australia.

Later I will extend the family tree to also include the Rutherford, Needham and Sydall families who lived in Sheffield Yorkshire around WWII.

Feel free to contact me with any information etc via my email address.
