THE RUTZ'S OF BELEN NEW MEXICO

The Rutz family of New Mexico came to NM from Ripon wisconsin and Carbondale Pa between 1880 and 1883.

The family lived in northern Posen, Prussia, near the viliages of Karpno and Meilno, in an area known as Rutzenwald.most births I have been able to document have them in this area till 1831 when my direct ancestor GG Grandfather Martin aparently moved to Brostowo, Posen Prussia.
My GGrandfather Wilhelm emigrated with his family to the United States in 1884.

My Great Grandfater Wilhelm (william) resided in Ripon along with several of his brothers and sisters.

my Great Aunt Bertha came to new mexico around 1886.My Grandfater Eduard(Edward) came to new mexico around 1900.

Since then the family has scattered around the US.
I have lost contact with all but my immediate family.

I am attempting to finish our tree to include all Rutz's in the US and any left in Europe,(World) that wish to be included.

I would like to trace our roots back as far as possible, and complete our tree.
