Larry and Shirley Rutherford

We are the Rutherford family. We live in McDowell Co WV and our ancestors are from Va, Tn, WV, and Ky. Our familys are the Cabell's from Ky and Va. The McElroy's from Tenn WV. The Muncy and Hagerman's are from WV and Va. The Rutherfords are from Tn.
The Cabell's came from Va settled in Green,Casey and Adair Co Ky about 1810. William Cabell married Francis Elder.One of there sons was Nicholas Cabell. Nicholas son William Cabell born about 1838 Casey Co Ky. William married Sara J Eubank 1861. One of there sons was Joe Cabell. Joe married Mattie Head and one of there sons was William Cabell. William married into the Bazel, Belcher family of Monroe Co Ky. Alice Bazel died in Adair Co Ky. William died in McDowell Co.WV.
The Muncy are from Va and Ky and WV. In 1867 Samual Muncy lived in Lawrence Co Ky by 1870 he was married to Susan Crum in the 1880's there sons moved to McDowell Co WV. in the 1890's one of his sons Riley Muncy, married Patcy Hagerman in 1898. Patcy parents were Mose and Abby Hagerman of McDowell Co WV. Patcy daughter Clara Muncy married Robert Rutherford.
The Mcelroy are from Rockwood tn. James settled in Mcdowell Co about 1910. James married Bulah Moore from Tenn. There daughter Francis McElroy married John Cabell son of William Cabell.
The Rutherford are from Tenn. Fred Rutherford was born and raised in Union and Anderson Co Tn. Fred was first married to Nancy Nelson. Nancy died in 1898. In 1900 he married Ruth Ann Brown. Fred was part of John Rutherford family and John was Julius and Rhoda Rutherford son.
