Updated September 6, 2000Wilhelm, Sr. & Katherina (Hettinger) Rutz immigrated to the US from Denhoff, Russia, via Philadelphia on April 15, 1911. They were one family among thousands of Volga Germans to settle in America. They farmed in Windsor, Colorado, from 1911 to 1948.Wilhelm & Katherina had 13 children, four of whom died in their youth.
