SOURCE: The name "John Johnson" intimidated me, therefore I have personally done no research on Dicy's family. I do know that she died young and John Johnson married 2nd Dorcas Gatlin. He and Dorcas lived in Attala Co MS.

NOTE: This unknown daughter is quite possibly the Ella Ryals who was the first wife of Zephaniah B. Kitchens. This info from World Family Tree CD #3, Pedigree #3300, submitter unknown. Zephaniah B. Kitchens married 2nd to Catherine Ryals, dau of Joseph Jepsie Ryals. He had two daus by his first marriage: 1- Mahala, born abt 1846 Attala Co MS, married ? Adkins. 2-Marietta E., born abt 1848 Attala Co MS, died abt 1938 Itawamba Co MS. Submitter's note on Zephaniah B. Kitchens: "First census records indicate he was living in Attala Co MS in 1850. There is some confusion about his first two wives. Most believed that he had married sisters."

NAME: Mary Ann McAdory (dau of Marvin Ryals) says her brother, Alan used to talk with their grandfather, Jesse Tilden Ryals, and ask him about his people and Jesse told Alan that his grandfather's name was Joseph Jepsie Ryals. (May 1997)
