NAME: AKA "Polly" -- Polly is proven to be Mary "Polly" Grant by deed records in Washington County, Virginia Deed Book 11, pages 107-111 dated July 1832. Mary’s brother John Grant had died unmarried, with no children, and his siblings were his heirs. In the case of deceased siblings, their children were heirs. These deeds give the names of John Grant’s siblings, the names of their spouses, and if they are deceased the names of their children and their spouses. They name, "Polly Tucker, deceased, formerly Grant, wife of Henry Tucker and Kinchen Tucker and wife, Sarah Tucker; Peasey Davis, formerly Tucker, wife of Adam Davis; Anne Stidham, formerly Tucker, wife of William Stidham, children of Polly Tucker, deceased."
